Rewild Ourselves,
Rewild Our Earth.

The ecological crisis and the inner crisis are the same crisis. Kembali invests at that intersection — in land coming back to life, and in the people reweaving the fabric of a world worth living in.

In service to life

The economy we inherited is running on borrowed time. We're investing in what comes after.

Kembali is a family investment fund backing regenerative land, living systems, and the communities brave enough to dream differently.

We see a world where people feel woven into the living web of nature, of community, of their own aliveness — and we put capital in service of that world becoming real.

Kembali means…

Kembali means return in Bahasa Indonesia. Return to relationship. Return to place. Return to what actually has value - connection, nature, and our collective thriving.

We came to this work through seven years in Bali, a background in systems thinking, and a growing conviction that the most important question in finance right now isn't where's the return? It's return on what, exactly, and for how long?

The world is on the edge of collapse and clearly, outdated models of finance won’t do. So what can we do?

We invest systemically, ideally in ecosystems, that are building the world we want to live in. We're not a traditional impact fund. We don't do scattershot grants or ESG checkbox investing. We're a small, focused, opinionated team that takes seriously ecological fragility of the world we're investing into — and bets accordingly.

We're based in California, rooted in Bali, and oriented toward where the regenerative revolution is happening, right now, right here.

What we back

This is what we look for in our investments:

Land that's coming alive.

Rewilding. Regenerative agriculture. Sustainable forestry. Ecosystem restoration. Particularly in Indonesia and California. We want to see biodiversity metrics, not just mission statements.

Community-led businesses.

Companies built to serve a purpose greater than profit. We're especially drawn to steward-owned businesses, where the commitment to mission isn't a value on the wall but a legal fact, and ownership is shared collectively.

Capital that thinks in systems.

Individual projects won’t build the future we need. We believe in ecosystems — portfolios of aligned businesses that support each other the way a forest does, not a collection of isolated bets hedged against each other.

Inner work for transformation.

The future will be led by people who embody a particular way of living - communal, rooted, reciprocal, and passionately alive. We invest in this inner work for leaders and change makers.
