After more than 20 years of living in Bali between us, we’ve seen Indonesia’s great gifts - its living spirituality and communal ways of life - alongside the rapid degradation of its natural world. Our investments and grants focus on the two most urgent issues, the waste crisis and the loss of forests & wild land, often by connecting organizations so they can do more together.
Fighting deforestation in Borneo by creating viable income for local communities with wild harvest rainforest products. Fair trade, organic, top B-corp certified. We provided them a grant to expand their storage capacities.
Forest Wise
Community-led plastic recycling program where villages gather their plastic and exchange it for rice, money, or credit to be used within the village. Founder, Janur Yasa, was named a CNN Hero. We’ve provided a grant to fund Plastic Exchange in our community, and build composting holes in the temples and schools
Plastic Exchange
An environmental organization on a mission to stop plastic from reaching the ocean. Their teams clean rivers across Bali and Java, alongside advocacy and education work. We provided them a grant to help them upgrade the washline systems to better sort the waste they collect.
Sungai Watch
MudFish fights plastic pollution in Indonesia with arts-based education on reducing the use of single-use plastics. We’ve worked with them to do a village-wide clean up in our banjar (community) and provide education in the elementary schools.

Moonshot Ventures is an impact investor supporting women founders to build innovative solutions around climate change. We helped them create their first venture debt fund.

A non-profit driving systems change in Indonesia’s plastic crisis, working toward zero waste by helping build the wider ecosystem of solutions. We provided a grant to help them research and build a more connected waste ecosystem in Bali.

Here, we invest in place-based, systemic change, especially regenerative and organic farming, and support a cultural shift toward reciprocity and regeneration.
A fund on a mission to transform our food system by providing low-interest loans to farmers moving from conventional to regenerative farming across the US. We invested in their fund providing these loans.
Steward
The Amah Mutsun Land Trust is returning the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band to their ancestral lands and restoring their role as environmental stewards. When we moved to California, we gave a grant in acknowledgment of the original stewards of this land.
